At Zenorganics, we understand this and remains committed to bring each and everyone of our valued customers a matcha hot chocolate experience that stay true to the idea of clean, wholesome, fresh, organic ingredients without fillers such as sugar, additives, cheap processed cocoa, or dairy fillers.

Zenorganics matcha hot chocolates are created using 100% organic dark cocoa, and 100% japanese organic matcha. Our hot chocolates increase theta brain waves, resulting in relaxation of both mind and body. Our hot chocolates also contains phenyl ethylamine, a mild mood elevator when coupled with the benefits of L-Theanine which creates alpha waves, which lead to a state of relaxed alertness. In addition, the cocoa butter in our dark organic unprocessed chocolate contains oleic acid, a mono-unsaturated fat which may raise good cholesterol.

It is important to note:……..

Drinking a cup of hot Matcha hot chocolate before meals may actually diminish appetite. The flavanoids in Zenorganics’s hot chocolate help keep blood vessels elastic.

A recent study conducted at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs suggested that matcha green tea contained over 137 times the EGCG levels of popular tea bag green teas.

EGCG, or epigallocatechin gallate, is a unique set of polyphenols that help to scavenge free radicals from the body. Matcha also contains its sister polyphenols EGC (epigallo catechins), ECG (epicatechin gallate), EC (epicatechins), which when working in synergy with each other as found in nature, seem to have a significantly stronger antioxidant effect than EGCG alone.

Absorption is important. When tea bags or loose teas are steeped, only 5% to 10% of the nutrients naturally found in tea end up in the cup because most of the nutrients are not water-soluble. The minerals, fibers, vitamins, and antioxidants end up thrown out with the tea leaves. Matcha tea is the best by far because the whole tea leaf is ground into a fine powder and consumed entirely. So you get 100% of the nutrients from the leaves.

3½ c. coconut milk (or other non-dairy milk)
¼ – ½ c. minced ginger (depending on how gingery you like it)
¾ c. Sugar Matcha
2 T. arrowroot
1 t. vanilla extract
1 t. coconut extract (optional)
¾ c. crystallized ginger, chopped into small pieces or sprinkle Sugar Matcha

Directions:
Mix ¼ cup of coconut milk with the 2 tablespoons of arrowroot and set aside. Mix the coconut milkand minced ginger together and bring to a boil. Take off the heat and set aside for 25 minutes to steep.Strain through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the minced ginger. Keep the milk; throw outthe ginger.
Mix the coconut milk and sugar together and bring to a boil. When the mixture has just started to boil, take off the heat and stir in the arrowroot slurry. This should immediately cause the liquid to thicken(not a lot, but a noticeable amount; it will be thicker when it cools).Stir in vanilla extract and coconutextract then set the ice cream mixture aside to cool. Freeze according to your ice cream maker’s instructions. Sprinkle Zen Organics organic Matcha in the last five minutes of freezing.
